EdSource has been the Australian National Training Centre for Letterland for almost 15 years. Our company runs regular workshops for teachers, parents and carers throughout the year and we pride ourselves on providing fully experienced Letterland professionals to present every workshop Australia-wide.

Letterland Introductory Workshop:

• Background to Letterland
• How to create a powerful, explicit and motivational early years phonological program
• Initial sound demonstration lesson
• Familiarity of characters, stories and songs
• Correct letter formation using rhymes and songs
• Onset and rime resource making time
• Phonemic awareness activities
• Introduction to Letterland digraph clusters
• Teacher strategies including "pictogramming", "order please" and "quick dash"

Letterland Advanced Workshop:

• Overview of Letterland teacher and child strategies
• Demonstration of kindy a-z lesson
• Programming ideas and examples
• Digraph lesson demonstration
• Familiarity with extended Letterland stories
• Display ideas and hands on making time
• Letterland craft ideas hand-out
• Cross-curricular connections
• Games support ideas for digraphs and initial sounds
